Autumn Ge
Hi there! I’m Autumn.
I love to write. I love to read. I love to knit, preferably while watching a cheesy action-comedy film on TV.
But, since you’re here, you’re probably most interested in my writing.
I write young adult contemporary fiction, and I love creating stories that feature strong, deep friendships and heartwarming romance.
When I read a novel, I want to fall in love with the characters and feel invested in their happiness; I want to be a part of their friend group and hang out with them on the weekends. Ultimately, I want what I’m reading to feel like a hug, so that also happens to be the sort of story I write.
Tropes that I love include:
found family, first love, unexpected love interest, slow burn romance, friends to lovers…
Young adult books that I’ve loved recently include:
- Begin Again, Emma Lord
- Unnecessary Drama, Nina Kenwood
- Imogen, Obviously, Becky Albertalli
- Reggie and Delilah’s Year of Falling, Elise Bryant
- This Time It’s Real, Ann Liang
- Seven Percent of Ro Devereux, Ellen O’Clover
- Chloe and the Kaishao Boys, Mae Coyiuto
- Take a Chance on Me, Beth Garrod
- Just for Clicks, Kara McDowell
OG Classics that I adore include:
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Jenny Han
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Ann Brashares
- The Baby-Sitters Club, Ann M. Martin
- Sweet Valley Junior High, Francine Pascal
Did I mention I love series? Once I love a group of characters, I don’t want to let them go!
A bit of background on me…
I was born and raised in the United States, but have spent most of my adult life living abroad, mainly in the United Kingdom. As of early spring 2024, I’ve moved back Stateside with my family after a decade in London. Let the new life adventures unfold!
